Administration

R. Ed Davis – (Founder, Executive/Artistic Director) Ed’s dream and vision started Starlight Mountain Theatre, and he continues to oversee its operation on a daily basis. He is responsible for show selection, auditions, casting and directing every show, and is the loving father-figure of our theatre. Without Ed, there would be no Starlight!

Jan Cooksey Davis – (Co-Founder, Artistic Director, Choreographer, Playwright) Jan is responsible for creating the musical tone for each show, and choreographing the dance numbers to go with them. She also writes new shows for Starlight, and lends a hand with directing shows along-side husband, Ed.

Dugan Jackman - (Educational & Outreach Director, Performer, Choreographer) Returning for his 6th season, Dugan is not only one of the actors but the Educational and Outreach Director. As such, he invites everyone to sign up for this year's Summer Theatre Camp and also for the 3rd Annual Fall After School Program.  His recent credits include Jim in "Gifts of the Magi", Max in "The Sound of Music, Linus in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown", Seymour in "Little Shop of Horrors", and Phil in "White Christmas" at the Star Theatre.  He also just finished directing and choreographing the 2010 Spring Break Camp production of "Disney's High School Musical 2".  Many thanks to his family and GG comrades and Leftover Brigade who crack the whip to keep him in shape!  Be sure to look for Dugan on the Garden Valley Stage this summer as Benjamin in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", The Lion in "The Wizard of Oz", Bun Foo in "Thoroughly Modern Millie", Ozzy in "The Scarlet Pimpernel", and Froggy in "The Foreigner".  Come to the mountains to play!

Ed Sr. and Thelma Davis – (Co-Founders, Producers) Summer season 2009 brought changes to the Starlight Family as Ed Sr. or Grandpa, as he was lovingly known, passed away.  He touched many lives during the first ten seasons of Starlight and he will be greatly missed by all.  His spirit is still with us and we know he is watching over us.  Although “retired”, you’re still sure to see Grandma, as she is lovingly known, helping around the theatre and costume shop and encouraging a new crew of young actors to reach their full potential. Retirement means more time for Thelma to travel and visit family members, especially all those dozens of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that she loves to spend time with!

Angie Anderson - (House/Comapny/Box Office Manager) Angie started out as Starlight's biggest fan, so we put her to work. She has spent many summer and winter seasons as house/company manager for SMT. Look for her in the audience front and center every night! Special thanks to my SMT family and all who bring magic to theatre!
